​   Project Manager 

Since 2018, our firm has actively supported the New York City Administration for Children's Services (ACS) and the agency's Office of Public Partnerships (OPPP) and helped drive funds development and management processes. In continued support of ACS' mission of protecting and promoting the safety and well-being of NYC's children and families, Future Focus Consulting (FFC) plans to leverage its competencies and capabilities to aid OPPP in deepening its capacity. The expanded partnership serves to amplify OPPP's efforts to galvanize resources and enhance the agency's grant-seeking and development initiatives.

FFC is seeking a Project Manager who will support ACS for 35 hours per week during the project period and will play a significant role in advancing the outlined work.

Project Manager Profile
You are a dexterous professional who is willing to use your network, knowledge, and expertise to drive OPPP's development of new funder relationships and with the translation of ACS' initiatives, offerings, and successes to potential funders. You bring a track record of raising funds, are proactive, and can work as part of a small, dynamic team.

Executive Director, Office of Public-Private Partnerships (Project Supervision)

 Key Responsibilities

  • Review of ACS' Funding Needs – Work with OPPP team to assess and refine current funding priority areas and identify new priority areas for funding. Align grant funding research opportunities with ACS funding needs.
  • Grant Funder Research and Outreach – Conduct research to identify grant resources   including, but not limited to federal, state, foundation, agencies, and organizations that support ACS' funding needs and priorities. Develop and execute funder outreach strategy.
  • On-call Grant Research – Perform on-call research, as needed, for special and emergency projects throughout the contract period.
  • Grant Proposal Development – Provide grant proposal writing services associated with completing grant applications on behalf of the ACS, including preparing funding abstracts, producing and submitting applications to funding sources, and supporting with grant work plan management.
  • Grant Reporting – Work with ACS divisions and the agency's fiscal and legal department to draft and submit descriptive grant reports that meet funder reporting requirements.
  • General Troubleshooting - Anticipate challenges and present relevant workarounds.
  • Additional Support – Provide other support that may be identified by OPPP throughout the project period.


Essential Skills and Experience

  • BA/BS degree or higher in business, public administration, marketing, public relations, or related field
  •  Demonstrated knowledge and experience with fundraising and development; successful professional track record in raising of funds for child welfare, education, youth-serving and/or social service organizations and/or agencies​ Proficient in writing proposals and reports
  • Proficient at meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work and communicate with corporations, foundations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies
  • Ability to interact with varied levels of professional staff ranging from entry to senior level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience using CRM databases
  • Experience working in dynamic situations and with multitasking
  • ·Possess excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and is transparent in conduct


Workplace location

The Project Manager will work off-site two days a week and report to ACS headquarters, located at 150 William Street, New York City, for three days a week.

Salary and Benefits
FFC benefits package includes paid holidays, PTO, and health insurance that span the project period. The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience and starts at $80,000.
